Stephanie Voudouris, Toronto Office
Stephanie is best known, and most noticed, for her curly hair. After spending countless hours wrestling her hair into a straighter coif, she gave up and embraced her ‘do; which naturally left more time to read The Law of Contracts and Rules of Civil Procedure.

Jennifer Bates, Toronto Office
Jennifer is thrilled to be joining Cassels Brock as a summer student, particularly since her aversion to cold and excessive layering makes her entirely unrecognizable in the winter. She is currently contemplating how to pull off the formal office Snuggie look.

Kathleen Byers, Toronto Office
Kate once spent a summer as the kitchen manager of a residential summer camp in Muskoka. She’s confident that if she can incorporate the preferences of 120 people into the daily menu at camp, she can handle the demands of being a summer law student.

Xi Chen, Toronto Office
Xi Chen worked as a flight attendant in her summers prior to law school. Although she misses the view from 36000 feet, her current office is much more comfortable than the back galley of a Boeing 777. Share your worst travel experience and she will tell you about a particular flight to Tel-Aviv in the summer of 2011.

Caroline Durran, Vancouver Office
This one time, at band camp, Caroline came to the realization that as a drummer she was the butt of everyone’s jokes. So logically, she went to law school. As a blonde, drumming, (almost) lawyer, Caroline is a walking punch line. You are invited to stop by her office to try out your new material.

Hilary Fender, Toronto Office
Hilary’s dreams of becoming a professional dancer went up in smoke when she finally got tired of all the glitter. While she may have replaced pirouettes and plies with pleadings and prospectuses, she’s certain that the scrutiny of the Supreme Court will be a breeze after years in fake eyelashes and tutus under the harsh spotlight of centre stage.

Jacob Goldberg, Toronto Office
Someone told Jake that there is a magical formula that he could use to get a free pair of Cassels Brock sweatpants. All he had to do was get an undergraduate degree, write an LSAT, get into law school, read six coloured textbooks, write six exams, and talk to some nice people in suits for a few minutes. Long story short – he got the sweatpants.

Jacquie sincerely hopes that her experience navigating groups of children on canoe trips through the endless wilderness of Lake Temagami will translate to the successful location of each and every coffee dispenser in the endless wilderness of Cassels Brock.

Daniel Shiff, Toronto Office
Prior to starting law school, Daniel started a small waste collection business one summer. While this was certainly a departure from his academic background, he quickly became an expert in discerning between garbage and high-quality products. He hopes to bring this skill to Cassels Brock this summer.

Michelle Sutkiewicz, Toronto Office
Before going to law school, Michelle figure skated competitively. The highlight of her skating career was her role as an extra in the movie Death to Smoochie. Of course, she hoped her stellar performance would spawn a flashy career in Hollywood. What Michelle didn’t realize was that being an extra in a movie doesn’t pay the bills. However, Danny DeVito did sign an awfully nice photo that she is willing to sell to the highest bidder in order to prove her acting career wasn’t a total loss.
